Why Do You Seek Christ?

Today's verse is John 6:26
Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.

Why do you seek Christ? (if you do at all?) Such is our human nature, that even seeking the Most High God, can and most often is, done for the wrong reason, or reasons. Consider what James tells us: “Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.” This is the same motive of those that sought Christ here. Why should we seek Jesus? The one and only reason is because he is Worthy, because he is the righteous one, and in him, and by him we can be made complete. All other reasons will cause us to miss him, and will leave us unfulfilled. Selah [Think on this.] Amen.
