Today's verse is John 15:13
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
True Love: knows no limits of the sacrifice which it is willing to make to the one loved. True Love is always seeking to improve the condition of the one loved. Look at the example that Christ set before us. Sin required an atonement. Sin required a life of an innocent one. None other was available, so God himself, submitted himself to us, and even as we rejected him, and killed him, He took that act and turned it upon its head, using the ultimate evil and changing it into the ultimate good. Our rejection of him became the basis of his acceptance of us. So empty handed, for we have nothing to offer, we can come to him and he will forgive us, abide with us, live through us, forever making us into his greatest creation. Selah [Meditate on this.] Amen.
To God be the Glory
