Here we see a conversation between those that were to append Jesus and the Pharisees: in it we see an implication, and a subtle acknowledgement, which cannot both be true. The implication is that you must trust and obey those that appear to know more than you do. The acknowledgement is that each is responsible for their own beliefs, and must give an account to God for such. In the context, we know that those that think they know, are truly in error, proclaiming themselves to be wise, have become fools. In another place we are told that a certain town was more honorable than another, because they searched the scriptures themselves to find the truth, and are we not promised that if we seek, we shall find? Amen.

Blind Obedience?
Today's verses is John 7:46-49
The officers answered, Never man spake like this man.
Then answered them the Pharisees, Are ye also deceived?
Have any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed on him?
But this people who knoweth not the law are cursed.
To God be the Glory
Scott
