From Patience, Experience

Today's verse is Psalm 18:2
     The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
      My God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
      My buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

In this verse we see the faith of a man near the end of his life. We see that he has seen God deliver him time and again, even from part of the consequences from his own sin, yea, later we see that God even used a part of the fruit of his sin to bring us all redemption. In Romans, Paul says that faith comes from the Word of God, and that patience begets experience. This is what we see in David here. So, let us learn from David, and follow the example his set for us as he trusted God, whatever life may have brought him. Amen.
