The Best . . .

Today's verse is Deuteronomy 4:8
And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

There have been some that I have met, that faulted the Law God gave, because it was not the first. From here we see that God did not claim that it was first, but that it was better, yea even the Best. We need not fear to compare what God has given us, with that which others have received from elsewhere. The Word of God is not the only set of scriptures--that is holy writings--that have been given to man. Yet, here we are invited to compare all others with that which the Lord God has given us, and I have no doubt which will be found the best by an unbiased mind. So if you need to, search and compare, and when you do, you will find that nothing compares to the promises, or the commands, that the Lord God hath given in his Word. Selah [Think about this] Amen.
