When The Fight Is Too Hard

Today's verse is Hebrews 12:3-4
For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

As we that have chosen to walk with God do so, we shall find at times that the fight seems too hard, yet the author here knowing the weakness of our flesh gives us counsel, and a measuring stick. At such times we are to compare ourselves to none other than Jesus Christ, as he suffered for us on the Cross, for if we do this, we shall see that we have not even done for him as he has done for us, nor have we yet resisted the sin in our lives, as we have him for an example. For even as he had considered the Cross, upon which he died for us, he bled. None of us has so fought against sin. So are you weary of the fight, then chin up, knowing that Jesus has already won the fight for you, and rest in him, as you take the next step, but take that next step. Amen.
