Another Example Provided By Jesus

Today's verse is Hebrews 5:7
Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;

This passage is speaking of Jesus Christ and in it is some hard things to consider. Some may misunderstand, and say this proves Jesus was not God, but this would take the passage out of context, for this same book clearly paints Christ as very God. I even shared one of them out of the first chapter. Now I am not saying that I fully understand the passage, yet consider the example of the Son of God. The first thing I wish to point out is that God did not save him from dying (for he needed to die for our sake) but he did save him from death, and again partly for our sake. Then for time sake the final thing to consider is that Jesus (God) feared God. Just in today’s reading, I was reminded that “[t]he fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” It would appear that even God is not exempt from this truth; therefore, this being the case, How should you respond?. Selah [think about this] Amen.

To God be the Glory
