Rejoice!

Today's verse is Philippians 4:4
Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. 

Paul does not say here, Rejoice in the Lord when all things are going well. He says Rejoice always, nor does he say this lightly, for he says this having suffered greatly for the cause of Christ. Whatever we may be experiencing, we can rejoice, for we serve a God that works all things, not just some things, but all things for good according to his purpose. Therefore, if you are his, and all things appear to be going wrong, or all things right, for that matter, know that God has not surrendered his throne, and the things that are happening are what needs to happen for the best outcome, for all involved. So therefore, Rejoice, do as God directs, and watch what he does, and be amazed at the goodness of God. Amen.
