The Goodness of God

Today's verse is Psalm 27:13
     I had fainted, unless I had believed
      To see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

We see here a hope of seeing all, or even some of the good that God is, and has for us, in this life. If we look at Hebrews 11, the proclaimed hall of faith, we find many that did see this hope fulfilled, but we also see others that having received the promise, did not receive it, yet. But they were still faithful even unto death. Nevertheless, throughout scripture, every single follower of the promise has seen a least a small portion of God's goodness in this life, for some it was abundant, for others harder to find, but still they waited upon him and God's goodness sustained them. Let us therefore as commanded in the next verse, "Wait on the Lord" and in due course we shall see him glorified. Amen.
