Wait On The Lord

Today's verse is Lamentations 3:25

The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.

In the midst of hunger, and despair, and at a time of the judgment of his nation, Jeremiah say that the Lord is good to his people that seek him. Such were hard to find in that day, but they were there, after all we have the testimony of three of them: Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel. Whatever the conditions about us may be, if we seek the Lord God, and wait patiently for him, we will see his blessings by and by, even in this life, (according to his purpose,) but in the next everlasting Joy with no sorrow added at all. Let us therefore, seek him whatever may come our way. Rejoicing in the goodness of our God, whatever form it may take.
