God Keeps His Promises

Today's verse is Hebrews 6:17-18
Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

Peter tells us that we have many great and precious promises from the Lord our God, Jesus Christ. The greatest is the precious promise of redemption through Jesus Christ by his death on the cross and his resurrection three days later, so that all who come to him will have their sins forgiven. But not only this, but once his he has promised never to leave nor forsake us. He has also promised to guide us and we make our way in this life, to fulfill the purpose he has given us that he might be glorified in us. Amen. Let us therefore, rejoice and set our faces toward him and do as he directs. For we will find him Faithful. Amen.
