Today's verse is Exodus 2:24-25
And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.
And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.
Why did God have respect upon the children of Israel? Is it not because he had made a covenant [promise] with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob? Have we not been told that God is not a respecter of persons? Is there any covenant or promise God has made that we can have any hope that he will have respect unto us? What of this one? “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” or what of this one? “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Can you calm either, or actually both of these promises? If so, you can be sure that that same God shall have respect unto you. Amen.
To God be the Glory
