Today's verse is Job 9:20
If I justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me:
If I say, I am perfect, it shall also prove me perverse.
This is an interesting confession of Job’s, for it is the very basis of how he was rebuked, for he in the end tried to justify himself, and as he so confessed here, he was found speechless, and without an answer. But God heard his request, and know we do have a daysman, Yea, even an advocate, that will stand before them and God, even that same, that took our place when he died upon the Cross, and having risen from the dead, is now seated at the right hand of God, making intercession for all that have trusted in him. Do you know his name? Have you believed from the heart that is truly is Risen, and do you without reservation Confess him to others, that they too, might believe? Selah [Know without a doubt your answer.] Amen.
