Today's verse is Psalm 73:28
But it is good for me to draw near to God:
I have put my trust in the Lord GOD,
That I may declare all thy works.
This man Asaph looked, and considered as he saw the prosperity of the wicked, and he was troubled, and envious, for as they were prosperous he was not, but as he went into the sanctuary, even the House of God, and he heard the Word of God and found the end of those that know not God, and his final conclusion he made the same one Paul did: Knowing the Terror of the Lord, we persuade men! Know therefore, by God’s Word, that God is Good, but worthy of fear. Did he not allow his Son to die the death of the Cross for our sakes, that we through him might live? Consider the Cross, consider how terrible it is. Yet for your sake Jesus willingly suffered it, that you can escape his Wrath which we so richly deserve. Will you then keep that to yourself? Selah [Should we not speak of the Wonderful works of God?] Amen.
To God be the Glory
Scott
