Here we see a man with a question that is troubling him greatly. Yet, here also we see a man that is confident that his God will answer his question, but does not know when the answer will come. Also, though he knows when the answer does come, he will be found in error, and repentance will be needed. Now, we know that he received his answer, it is recorded here, in the rest of the book by his name. Let us, therefore, learn from his example, do you also have a question that is troubling you? Know that God is willing to answer, so place your question to him, then as Habakkuk did, so do you; settle yourself, and watch, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, lean not unto thine own understanding. In all of thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths.” Habakkuk, found strength and joy when he received his answer, by God’s promises you can too. Amen.
