The Precious Milk of the Word

Today's verse is 1 Peter 2:2
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: 

Milk, designed by God to be the perfect nourishment for the new-born. However, today, when these babies are often given substitutes, many grow to have allergies, and are unable to drink or eat such things that are supposed to be blessings of God.    Let us therefore take heed, and forsake not to take in that precious Word of God that he has provided, that we might grow in Christ, and as we grow in him, we will be able to handle and understand so much more of his Word. Be careful of substitutes that say they are easier to understand, for just as substitute milk may cause the child to develop allergies, so substitute word, can stunt the growth of the believer. Selah [Think about this.] Amen.
