Nothing for Something
Today's verse is Jeremiah 2:10-11
For pass over the isles of Chittim, and see; and send unto Kedar, and consider diligently, and see if there be such a thing.
Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit.
Here is a great mystery, those that follow false gods are faithful to those gods, but those of us who have chosen to accept and follow the true God, have a tendency to forget all that he has done for us, and when we see his good, and his great works, we turn away and seek out those things that are empty. Let us, therefore, be wary, and continually turn back to the God that loves us. Yea, even the One that took our place, and paid our price. And let us remember that our sins which indeed make us unworthy has been washed away by His Blood, and that as we confess them he shall cleanse us from all unrighteousness that we might boldly come into his presence. Amen.
To God be the Glory
