It is God That is Sufficient!

Today's verse is 2 Corinthians 3:4-5
     And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:
     Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;

When things go wrong, many of us, but not all, turn and trust in the Lord God for deliverance, but we need also to trust in him not only when we need help, but when all things appear to be going well. Our God, who died in our place, truly desires to give us all that he has, but we after receiving but a exceedingly small fraction thereof, tend to lose sight of the giver, and focus solely upon the empty wealth that we have somehow obtained. Therefore, we then receive more troubles that we might once again turn to the God that loves us, troubles that we could have avoided if we had remembered him that is sufficient. Now remember, that Christ himself, endured hardship for our sakes, that we might learn of God, so too will we do, that those around us might also see the power of God in us. So remember, whether in good times or bad, your God is sufficient. So continue to trust in him. Amen.
