God Does Not Forget His Promises

 

Today's verse is Romans 11:5

Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. 

    In this verse, Paul is speaking specifically of Israel, and How God is keeping his promise to them, as his chosen people. For even today, there are those that being of the tribe of Israel, they also are even now covered by the Blood of Christ, having accepted the atonement that can only be found in the Cross. Yet, can not we that are counted as gentiles take comfort in this? That even as God has not forgotten his promise to Israel, even so, he will not forget his promise to us that have also believed! So, whatever happens around us, let us continue to look to Jesus, surrendering ourselves to him, that his purpose in us might be fulfilled, that we might also share in his Glory. Amen.
