Today's verse is Proverbs 24:12
If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not;
Doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it?
And he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it?
And shall not he render to every man according to his works?
Paul in the book of Romans makes it clear that when we are judged by God, we will be judged by what we know of right and wrong. Yet, here and by Peter we are told that there are some that try to feign ignorance, which we here learn will not save them. Throughout Proverbs we are counseled to seek Knowledge and to gain understanding, but to Trust God above all. If we do this, we shall not be found wanting in the day of Judgment, for Jesus, himself, shall speak on our behalf, and we shall escape the Judgment of those hoping their own works will justify them. Which path are you on now? Amen.
To God be the Glory
