Our Focus

 

Today's verse is Exodus 28:21

And the stones shall be with the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet; every one with his name shall they be according to the twelve tribes.

   The High Priest’s commission was to minster to the need of the children of Israel before God, bringing before God the substitute for the punishment of sins of the people. As such, he carried with him, not one, but two representations of the people he represented, all made of precious stones. Much I am sure can be made of this, but what I wish to focus on now, is that as we Focus on our God, we are not to lose focus of those he has set for us to minister to, for we are to bear them into the presence of our God, just as we are to be the vessel of God’s Love to them. Selah [Think on This.] Amen.
