No Fear!

Today's verse is Exodus 9:20-21
He that feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses:
And he that regarded not the word of the LORD left his servants and his cattle in the field.

Here is truly an amazing thing: that there were, after so many judgments of God upon Egypt, still there were those that did not fear the word of the Lord spoken by Moses. This was the seventh plague that had been proclaimed, yet there were those that did not believe, How can this be? Such is the condition of man, we are prone to turn from the Lord God, Creator of Heaven and Earth, trusting in our false gods, who have no power to save. As it was then, so it is now, the events we have seen last year bear striking resemblance to what was prophesied by Jesus in the Olivet Discourse, and what is described after is already in the making. But our God has also promised through Solomon, that if we that are Called His People, should repent, humbling ourselves, and turn to the God in Heaven, and seek his face, then he will heal our land. So let us fear God, for truly his judgment is upon us, and whether he delivers or not, he is worthy of our faithfulness to him, even unto death. Amen.
