The Judgment And Mercy Of God

Today's verse is Revelation 20:3
And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that ihe should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

There are several things that we can glean from this verse, and the following passage. We can see the longsuffering of God, in that he gives the very source of sin, very chance to repent. We see how even in a perfect world, men would still in their hearts turn against God. But most of all we see that God, and those that follow him will triumph in the end. Let us, therefore, remember that we are frail, imperfect creatures, but God still loves us, and has empowered us, if we trust in him, to overcome, and by him we shall share his throne, and minister to those that come after. Amen.
