The Hedge About Us
Today's verse is Psalm 91:9-10
Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge,
Even the most High, thy habitation;
There shall no evil befall thee,
Neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
In this world of hardship and heartache, where troubles abound, and trying times are plentiful, this is a truth we can easily overlook. That if we place our trust in God, even to the point that we dwell with him, and he is our constant companion, there is nothing that can happen to us, without his express permission. He will guard us against all evil, and only unless it has an express purpose will it touch us. Even the trouble we invite in, will be mitigated by his love, though his chastening hand may seem heavy, he is quick to forgive and restore us to his Grace. So let us not fear to walk with him, whatever the path he might led us, for we can be sure, that that path will be the safest and most prosperous path we can take. Amen.
