Follow Your Own Path
Today's verse is John 21:21-22
Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?
Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.
Peter, does what many of us do, after receiving his own challenge, he wants to compare himself with another. This we need not do, we all have our own race. We all have our own path. While it may include helping another on their way, we have only one imperative: To follow our Savior. Thus is our command, and this is what needs to consume our lives. It does not matter whether another is following the path set for them. It does not matter whether their path is easy or hard, (their path really is no easier for them then yours is to you) you just need to follow your path walking with your Savior. Leave with him, what he wants them to do, but do your part for the Kingdom of God. If we do this, God will increase his Kingdom, and we shall receive our reward. Amen.
