To Be Fat
Today's verse is Proverbs 28:25
He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife:
But he that putteth his trust in the LORD shall be made fat.
I believe based upon this scripture, that one that is proud cannot be trusting in God, but in himself. However, let us look at the promise here to those that trust in God, that they might be made fat. As I heard from a sermon a couple of months ago, as servants of the most high God, we may not ever be rich or wealth, but that we can expect to have abundance. That is to say, more than we need. This comes about by being faithful stewards of the resources that our God gives us, normally through our labor, but at other times through other means. Remember, God is sufficient, at all times, and will according to his Word meet all of our needs. Amen.
