God's Accounting

Today's verse is Romans 11:35
Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?

What have you given to God, that he has not already first provided to you? In this passage it would appear that you give God would possibly not be returned to you, but let us compare scripture with scripture. Note what Jesus said, “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” So, have you given to God, whether in wealth, or toil or even in pain? So we can expect God to return our investment with interest, or so much more. Now God does not return pain for pain, but rather the pain you have suffered for others, will be returned as joy, and much more abundant. So be patient, and you will see all that God has stored up for you. Amen.
