Our God Guides
Today's verse is Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart;
And lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him,
And he shall direct thy paths
If we understand nothing else outside of God's promise of salvation, we must understand this: That it is God we must trust, whether we understand or not, and it is him we must consider with all that we do, for if we do not acknowledge him is all of our ways, we will find ourselves upon the path described in Romans: "And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;" So that we have a choice: Trust in God, and in everything we do acknowledge what he would have us do, seek for what he would have us do, and if so he will guide us in all that we do. But if not then we be left to follow after our own lusts, to do those things that are so inconvenient, that others looking on cannot understand why we do such things (even though they do the same things.) Which path do you what?
