God will be Glorified

Today's verse is I Kings 20:28
      And there came a man of God, and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith the LORD, Because the Syrians have said, The LORD is God of the hills, but he is not God of the valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I am the LORD. 

Ahab, the worst and most evil of the kings of Israel, yet God fights for him. But not really for him, but that the name of God might be known. We also see the love that God had for Ahab, which he also has for us. As God fought for Ahab, so he also sent his Son in our place, as well a Ahab's. We do see Ahab somewhat repent later on and therefore, judgment delayed. What can we take from this? Fear God, follow him, and regardless of our actions, He will be Glorified, as Solomon had prayed. If we follow him and do his will we shall be rewarded, but if not, Ahab is a good example.
