Discipline Is Only For A Season

Today's verse is II Kings 25:27
And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, that Evil-merodach king of Babylon in the year that he began to reign did lift up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah out of prison;

Jehoiachin appears to have surrendered to the King of Babylon, as we learn in Jeremiah, that was what God commanded. And we see here that while judgment lasted a season, for those that serve and trust in the King, judgment is not forever, discipline is not forever, but only for a season, though the season may be long, it will end. There will come a day when it is done. And on that day, all of God's blessings will once again be opened to us. If like I once had, you have transgressed, continue to seek God's face, continue to seek repentance, and on the day appointed you shall see him waiting with open arms. Amen.
