God is God

Today's Verse is I Kings 8:60
      That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is God, and that there is none else. 

The whole of creation, the purpose of the scriptures (the Bible), even all that we see and hear, the Good and the Evil, is so that as Solomon declares and requests, "That all the people of the earth may know that the Lord is God, and that there is none else." It is not that God fails at this, but that we do not want to know it, but as the three monkeys refused to see, hear, or speak evil, so even do we refuse to know that God is God, and that he is indeed good. So let us open our eyes, our ears, our minds, and our hearts, and see about us the great mysteries  of our Great God, who loves us and gave himself for us, that we might live, and live more abundantly. Amen
