Today's Verse is Psalm 55:1
Give ear to my prayer, O God;
And hide not thyself from my supplication.
The Psalms I have read today all have the common theme of one that David counted dear to him, rising against him. We have known of two, Saul, who was jealous of David, knowing he was to be king after him, and then Absalom, who was angry at the injustice done to his sister Tamar. But, whether our troubles are of our own making, or just the wickedness of others, we can like David did in all of these Psalms, call upon the God that Redeems for help in the time of trouble, and as he has promised, He will deliver us out of all our distresses. Amen.
