Seeing The Fulfillment Of God's Word.

 

Today's Verse is 2 Samuel 8:14

And he put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom put he garrisons, and all they of Edom became David’s servants. And the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.

    To my knowledge this is the first time since God told Rebecca that the elder shall serve the younger, that Edom, the elder, served Israel, the younger. So, around a thousand years have passed, but at the appointed time; Edom served his brother Israel, but as Issac promised Esau (as God’s representative) he later regained his independence, only to betray his brother when Babylon came. Then later, Herald of Idumea (reported as a line from Edom) ruled over Israel as Christ walked the Earth. But Edom is no more, but Israel has been reestablished. So as Paul has testified of Abraham and his Faith in the one that calleth those things which be not as though they were, we can be sure of God’s Word. Therefore, it is even as Paul also testified, So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Amen.
