Today's Verse is Joshua 14:9
And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children’s for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the LORD my God.
Caleb, one of the twelve spies that went and explored the land of Canaan, and of the two that saw not the obstacles, but the fruit and the promise of the land which God had given to Abraham, and his children through Isaac, and then again through Jacob (Israel,) and knowing that promise, both to Israel, and to himself, he stepped up and openly claimed them before all to Joshua. Let us therefore, recognize that there will be times that we must be bold in claiming the promises God has given us, even as we remember David, who allowed God to open the door. How do we know which example to follow? Simple, Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; /And lean not unto thine own understanding. /In all thy ways acknowledge him, /And he shall direct thy paths. Amen.
