Being Divided For The Wrong Reason.

 

Today's Verse is Joshua 22:24

And if we have not rather done it for fear of this thing, saying, In time to come your children might speak unto our children, saying, What have ye to do with the LORD God of Israel? 

    The two and a half tribes that dwelled on the other side of Jordan feared division from the people of God for a superficial reason, not for the reasons which Moses had given: a departure from serving the True God according to HIs Word. Not to discount National Borders, but as followers of Jesus Christ we know that God is not a respecter of persons, but that all are invited to receive Redemption through the Blood of Jesus Christ, shed for us upon the Cross, and that as we come to unity through rightly dividing the word of truth we can truly discern the difference between us and them, and that Christ died for them too. Amen.
