This verse was written to those called of God, elect of him who created Heaven and Earth, and all that in them is. They have lost all hope, they have no strength in or of themselves: in fact, they were nothing but a valley of dry bones. Yet, if we belong to God, though nothing be left of us, God here shows us that he is able, not only able, but will do as he said. The book of Ezekiel is a book of judgment; therefore, it is very dark, speaking of the chastening of God’s own. Yet, God does not cast his own down forever, but he will restore them in and to his Glory. So do you believe in God? As Jesus says later, “Let not your heart be troubled,” for God will restore his own, and in the end he will be victorious, and as the days of chastening was very dark, so the days, even years and decades shall have no comparison in their Brightness and Glory. Selah [Think on This.] Amen.
To God be the Glory
