Because of opposition, the returned children of Israel, had left off doing the work God had set before them. For this cause, they faced lack, there was never enough, no matter how hard they worked. But when they turned again, and despite the opposition, they did what God had commanded them to do, then God Worked in the King, and set the opposition on their head, and in due course the work was finished, and so as we see here: The people rejoiced at the completed work and were amazed at how God had worked in others for them. So, what is the task set before you by God? Think not on the opposition against it, for God is greater. Do that which God has commanded you, and He will work with you, and you will find that your work will flourish and bear much fruit for God’s Kingdom. Amen.
