God hears, and Answers

Today's verse is Psalm 99:6
     Moses and Aaron among his priests,
      And Samuel among them that call upon his name;
      They called upon the LORD, and he answered them.

Is it that Moses, Aaron and Samuel are special, that God answered them? We do see that Moses and Samuel were set apart at birth. But James tells of Elijah, that he was a man of like passions that we have. The thing is, is that the only reason these men are special is that they trusted in the Lord God. When they heard God's Word, they responded with belief, and they acted upon it. We can see that each of them have stumbled, but even so they trusted in the Lord their God, and so God answered them. Let us therefore, take them as our example, for as God has done for them, so too is he willing to do for us. Amen.
