Today's Verse is 1 Samuel 15:1
Samuel also said unto Saul, The LORD sent me to anoint thee to be king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of the LORD.
Saul, having already lost perpetual Dynasty for his family by disobeying a statute of the law, it appears that God is giving him an opportunity to repent, and to obey a direct command. Yet, Saul, once again is disobedient (even while claiming obedience, both to himself and others.) We have seen before how God can take a curse and turn it into a blessing (the Levites.) Therefore, have you found yourself disobedient to God’s Word? Look not so much on the past but accept God’s willingness to allow you to Repent. Has He not already taken your place? And return to Him in obedience to His command, His Word, and find out how He will turn the consequences of your disobedience around, that not only you but those around you might have cause to Rejoice in the Lord. Amen.
