The Way Out of Trouble

Today's verse is I Samuel 6:30
And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.

David, had not been walking as close to his God as any of us should and can be, He had been running from Saul, and doing so by his own wisdom, not seeking God's direction, and to this point had he come. His family, and the families of his men, had been captured, and his men blamed him. So, after so long a time, David returns to his God, and seeks out what God would have him do. Then in short order, David reclaims his family, the families of His men, gains a spoil and is made King over Judah.  So let us also, seek out our God, and follow his direction, and before we know it we shall have good Success (Joshua 1: 8).

To God be the Glory
